This one is for the iPhone people on my flist (I know there are a few of you). How much data transfer would you say you use on average each month? I am looking at different plans I can get when I eventually get an iPhone.
I'm looking at different plans that come with 500MB, 1000MB and unlimited (last one is expensive!), trying to see what I can afford while still a poor student, so any insight into what you iPhone users have a month would be helpful!
Pretty much everything on the iPhone uses a data connection for something so I find it easiest to just have the unlimited plan. My current says about 200MB sent and 2.2GB received, but I don't know if that's during the entire time that I've had my iPhone or what... sorry, I'm no help.
That's allright. The unlimited plans are out of the question (110-130USD a month is not something I am willing to pay), but there are a few others ones that might be ok.
Holy crap! I pay, like, fifteen euros a month for my unlimited data plan. (That does not include texting and minutes, though, which I assume the plan you mentioned does?)
Some of them do, some of them don't. Not all all that bad, but the companies I would prefer to stay with are. I have found others who are about 40-50USD a month, with unlimited data, 120 minutes and 130 texts included each month. And anything above that you pay extra. Which is still a bit too much. One of them you can adjust each month though, so I may start with that and see how much data transfer I use each month, and up it if I have to. I've just never used that company before, and I don't know if I want to try them out or not.
Luckily I have a few months to find the perfect plan to choose, as I probably can't afford the phone until October.
My phonebill comes up to 50-70USD a month, and I only have 100 or 150 minutes and 50 SMSs (plus the unlimited data, and paying for the phone is included in that, too). Good luck with choosing!
